Houston rapper Chamillionaire is the new face of Makaveli-Branded’s spring 2006 three-month Tribute ad campaign, which will run in such national magazines as XXL and Slam. The artist joins an impressive list of former Makaveli-Branded spokesmodels: Ludacris, Scarface, DJ Quik, Twista, DTP, Omar Epps and Chingy.
For Chamillionaire, the timing is perfect. The rapper commences a U.S. tour March 30 in San Diego–with Lil Flip sharing the bill. The trek is in support of Chamillionaire’s solo debut album, “The Sound of Revenge” (Universal Records), which has sold 521,000 units since its November release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The set’s second single, “Ridin” featuring Krayzie Bone, recently premiered at myspace.com.
Available worldwide, the three-year-old Makaveli-Branded is the official clothing line of Tupac Shakur, with proceeds from the sale of each garment going to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation and Center of the Arts in Stone Mountain, Ga.
