“Zona Cero,” the Miami morning show hosted by controversial personality Javier Ceriani, has moved from its longtime home at Clasica 92.3 FM (WCMQ) to Romance, 106.7 FM (WRMA), beginning May 7. Both stations are owned by Spanish Broadcasting System.
Ceriani’s blend of irreverence, wit and all-around knowledge have helped maintain WCMQ as one of Miami’s top-rated stations. It was the No. 2 ranked station on Arbitron’s Winter 2008 book, up from No. 4 in the Fall 2007 book.
At No. 1 on Miami’s Arbitron Winter ratings is Univision-owned WAMR (Amor, 107.5 FM). Ceriani’s move to Romance should help raise the ratings of the station, which competes with Amor, and is now sitting at No. 20 in Arbitron’s Winter book. “Zona Cero” replaces morning show “Tu Mañana.”
