Miami-based DJ/producer Cedric Gervais rallies a few of his close, well-known friends for the official music video of his new single “Do It Tonight,” on Armada Music.
A funky house throwback, “Do It Tonight” is built around a sample of the 1980 post-disco classic “Take Your Time (Do It Right),” from R&B group The S.O.S. Band. Gervais updates the song for the clubbing era, while keeping the nostalgia of the original at the heart of his rendition.?
The same goes for the “Do It Tonight” music video, which sees Gervais donning a highlighter-pink tiger-striped shirt and a Miami Vice-inspired gold chain, while rocking out on a guitar. Famed pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and Miami nightlife kingpin David Grutman also make special cameos in the video.?
