As part of Clear Channel Entertainment’s ongoing reorganization of its music operations, Jane Holman and Arthur Fogel have new titles, Billboard.biz has learned.
The North American touring division will now operate under Holman, the former touring VP known for her work on Ozzfest. Based in L.A., Holman will assume the role of GM of national touring, reporting to CCE global music president Michael Rapino.
Holman will oversee the operational and administrative aspects of the national touring unit; national touring VPs Bruce Kapp, Brad Wavra, Brian O’Connell and Al Haymon will report to her. Rapino will approve all national touring deals.
Fogel, who was president of CCE Touring, has been named president of the TNA International division. Fogel, who is based in L.A. and reports to Rapino, will work with the CCE Toronto staff, including VP Gerry Barad. TNA will function as a separate business unit, focusing on major international tours such as the Madonna, David Bowie and Sting projects this year, and a proposed U2 world tour in 2005.
TNA, which stands for The Next Adventure, was founded by Rolling Stones promoter Michael Cohl; SFX acquired TNA in 1998, then Clear Channel Communications acquired SFX in 2000. Fogel and most of the Toronto staff once worked under Cohl, who retained his rights to produce the Stones.
The resurrection of the TNA brand follows similar moves by CCE that has seen the return of such brands as Cellar Door, PACE, Bill Graham Presents and others as part of the reorganization.
