The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are about to face off in the NBA Finals starting Thursday — and what better way to get amped for the match-up than a shamelessly tacky 1980s-style parody video?
A hilarious clip from CBS Sports is making the rounds that seems to pay homage to the 1980s twin poles of cheesy sitcoms: Full House and Family Matters. The former was shot in the Bay Area (a nod to Golden State), the latter in Chicago, to tie it to the Midwest (not quite Cleveland, but close-ish). “Season 4 of Cavs vs. Warriors was filmed in front of a live studio audience,” reads the text in front of a perfect VHS-static filter.
