Sony BMG Nashville senior director of A&R Jim Catino rises to VP of A&R for the company. A 13-year industry veteran who first joined the label group in 2001, Catino reports to executive VP of A&R Renee Bell.
“Great A&R requires instinct, vision, and a tireless passion for the music and the artists who create it,” Bell said in a prepared statement. “Time and again, Jim has proven that he truly is a great A&R man, and this promotion is incredibly well deserved.”
Catino has been instrumental in the signing and development of Jason Michael Carroll and Chuck Wicks, among other artists. He is also involved in day-to-day A&R for Blaine Larsen and Brad Paisley.
Catino arrived at the label group following seven years in publishing and A&R working with DreamWorks Nashville and Giant Publishing.
