In the six-minute video, directed by John Hillcoat (known for films like The Road and Lawless), Blanchett’s face is closely studied before transforming into a strange stone-like substance. Watch below.
“The Spoils,” along with a second song “Come Near Me,” dropped in late July through Massive Attack’s new Fantom app. It’s described as “a sensory music player that remixes and reforms songs uniquely using a variety of environmental variables including location, movement, time of day, heartbeat and the integral moving image camera.”

The pair of new tracks follows Massive Attack’s Ritual Spirit EP, which was released in January through Virgin/EMI. The group is scheduled to appear at numerous music festivals throughout Europe in August.
