NASHVILLE, Tennessee – Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be back together again in November. They’ve been picked to host the Country Music Association Awards for a fourth straight year.
The 45th annual awards will be aired live Nov. 9 from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on ABC. The CMA Awards are the most-watched country awards show with more than 16 million viewers tuning in last year.
Paisley and Underwood have won 19 CMA awards between them. Paisley is the reigning CMA entertainer of the year and Underwood in 2010 was the top-ranked female Country touring artist of the year.
“Hosting the CMA Awards the past three years has been an incredible experience -I love it,” Underwood said in a statement. “I’m so honored to be asked back with my friend, Brad. The creative process of getting ready for the show is a blast, and I look forward to sharing Country Music’s Biggest Night with all the fans!”
Paisley noted in the same release that the duo have achieved a comic chemistry over the years with Underwood’s class balancing his “non-class act. I’ll try my best to not mess it up.”
“We couldn’t ask for better hosts than Carrie and Brad,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer said in a prepared statement. “They have the unique qualities of humor, talent, credibility, and natural rapport that makes them a hit with the fans and the industry audience.
The two country singers made the announcement directly to the fans today via Facebook which linked to a YouTube video with Underwood and Paisley giving the news themselves.
