UPDATE: Carrie Fisher is in stable condition after suffering a medical emergency aboard a flight Friday. Her brother, Todd Fisher, told The Associated Press that she was “out of emergency” and stabilized at a Los Angeles hospital.
Carrie Fisher reportedly suffered a heart attack on a plane Friday, according to TMZ.
Airport police confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter units were responding to someone with a medical emergency on a plane, but they could not identify the victim, officer Alicia Hernandez said.
Police were radioed for help around 1 p.m. she said.
Several passengers who were on the United plane traveling from London to LAX took to Twitter to say the 60-year-old Star Wars star was taken off the plane by EMTs after staff and passengers attempted to revive her while the aircraft landed.
A rep did not immediately respond to THR‘s request for comment.
Don’t know how else to process this but Carrie Fisher stopped breathing on the flight home. Hope she’s gonna be OK
