Just one month after 55-year-old background singer Carmen Carter brought the judges to a standing ovation with her incredible audition, she did it once again in the second round of America’s Got Talent.
“It’s never too late. There’s nothing to stop me now. It’s my time and that’s why I’m here,” she said before taking the stage to bring a high-energy performance of the Beatles’ classic “Come Together.”

Complete with ad-libs and shout outs to the audience, the crowd roared and danced along to her rocked-out version of the tune. “Carmen Carter, remember that name,” she proclaimed as her performance came to a close.
