Blue Rodeo frontman Jim Cuddy and singer/songwriters Tom Cochrane, Gilles Valiquette and Amy Sky are among the musician members of the Music in Canada Coalition who will head to Ottawa tomorrow (Nov. 24) to speak with Members of Parliament on issues affecting the industry.
The delegation will meet with the MPs and hold a press conference on Parliament Hill to address challenges to the music business, including copyright reform, piracy and the possible loss of government funding programs.
Following the meetings, the above-mentioned musicians will be joined by veteran singer/songwriter Bruce Cockburn and newcomer acts Boy, Shaye, Keisha Chante, Kyle Riabko, Taima and Pierre Lapointe in a performance for the MPs.
