Mexican pop trio Camila will launch a 10-city U.S. tour beginning Sept. 8 at the Pharr Event Center in McAllen, TX. The tour, produced by Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) and presented by 5 Gum, will be the most ambitious to date in the U.S. for the Mexican group.
Camila recently won three Billboard Latin Music Awards on the strength of its 2010 sophomore release, “Dejarte de Amar” (Sony Music Latin), which has moved 201,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The group also headlined the Billboard en Concierto concerts last April, a series of private shows that took place in several U.S. Cities to sold-out crowds also produced by CMN. The success of those shows led in part to the expanded tour.
This time, Camila will play shows in mid-sized venues, including the Hammerstein in New York, the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles and the James L. Knight Center in Miami. Fans of the group will be able to access the ticket presale with a special code that will be announced on Camila’s official Facebook page. The presale begins at 10 a.m. July 27, two days before tickets go on sale to the general public.
