Calvin Harris may have retired the retro-jammin’ sound of his 2017 album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, but fans will hear his new sonic direction very soon. It seems dangerous, maybe even a little demonic. Either way, it’s certainly something wholly new.

The producer and DJ unveiled a new motif in a giant, flashing billboard on Sunday (Feb. 4). It stars a spinning human skull and a crazed cartoon face with wild hair and its mouth zipped shut. The images flash over the date 02.08.18, which Harris has since confirmed is the release date for his new single “Nuh Ready Nuh Ready” featuring PartyNextDoor.
Prior to the official announcement, fans had already linked the website nuhready.com to the Billboard teaser as it features the same cartoon face and parchment paper that is displayed on Harris’ social media banners.
