On the heels of his sophomore release, “You Stand Watching” (E.V.L.A./Atlantic), Ryan Cabrera will venture out on a six-week fall U.S. tour. Labelmate act the Click Five will open most shows on the 26-date run, which begins Oct. 18 in Anaheim, Calif.
Before heading out on the road, Cabrera will perform Oct. 17 on NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” Along the way, the tour will as previously reported visit New York’s newly opened Nokia Theatre Times Square.
“You Stand Watching” debuted last week at No. 24 on The Billboard 200. Lead single “Shine On,” new at No. 94 on the Hot 100, will serve as the theme song for the singer’s dating show, “Score,” scheduled to debut Oct. 10 on MTV.
The Click Five, who have recently toured with Ashlee Simpson, the Backstreet Boys and Jesse McCartney, will play on all but seven of the dates with Cabrera (Oct. 26-30; Nov. 18, 25-26). Meanwhile, the band is due to perform in New York during the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will be televised on NBC. The Click Five’s Lava debut, “Greetings From Imrie House,” entered The Billboard 200 at No. 15 in August.
