Austin-based C3 Presents has expanded its relationship with Harrah’s casinos and will now book and promote live music at about 20 Harrah’s properties across the country going forward.
C3 had already been working with Harrah’s properties in Missouri, Iowa and Louisiana for several years. Among the Harrah’s venues booked by C3 are the Stir Concert Cove at Harrah’s Council Bluff and the Whiskey Roadhouse at the Horseshoe in the Omaha (Neb.) market, the VooDoo Lounge at Harrah’s in Kansas City and St. Louis in Missouri, and the Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City, La.
“C3 has done a great job of building business and developing relevant programming for us,” Scott Schecter, VP of entertainment for Harrah’s Entertainment Corporate, tells Billboard.biz. “We’re happy with the work they’ve done, and we’re looking to expanding the relationship to other venues throughout our system.”
The C3/Harrah’s deal does not extend into Las Vegas, where Harrah’s works with AEG Live/Concerts West in programming the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and the under-development 20,000-seat, $500 million Las Vegas Arena set to open in 2010 (Billboard.biz, Aug. 22).
An official announcement of the Harrah’s/C3 deal is expected in the coming
days.
