Producer/arranger/songwriter Byron Brizuela, known for his production of West Coast urban/regional acts such as Jae-P and Flakiss, has launched his own record company, Rize High Records.
The label, based out of Los Angeles, had a soft launch late last year with back catalog releases. Now, on August 26, it will put out its first frontline release, “La Leyenda de Emiliano Carrana,” by norteño group Los Famosos del Norte.
The album was conceived as a concept where each song represents a chapter in the protagonist’s life. Plans call for a script to be produced as a film and eventually a TV soap opera.
Rize High Records will be distribute via indie Select-O-Hits, which has signed distribution deals recently with several regional Mexican labels. Digital distribution will be handled by IODA.
