Lizzo will headline Bustle‘s second annual Rule Breakers Event in New York City, the media brand announced on July 10.
Taking place on Sept. 21 at the LeFrak Center in Brooklyn, the event will also feature performances by Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, rock singer-songwriter Jesse Jo Stark and pop singer Abir.
The day-long festival celebrates women and non-binary musicians and trailblazers who are “breaking barriers and leaving their mark across a variety of fields including music, entertainment, culture, beauty, and politics.”
“Continuing Bustle’s mission of celebrating trailblazers who have shaped today’s culture, we’re thrilled to have Lizzo headlining our event,” said Sascha Lewis, vice president, Experiential, Bustle Digital Group in a press release. “Lizzo’s approach to self expression and music is something her fans — including us here at Bustle — admire and celebrate her for.”
Attendees of the festival will also have the opportunity to whizz around a rollerskating rink, enjoy food and beverages and engage in immersive activations from sponsors including Athleta, Michael Kors, RITAS, St. Ives, Visa, and the WNBA.
