Rock bands +LIVE+ and Bush are joining forces for their Alt-imate tour this summer, which will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their respective iconic albums, Throwing Copper and Sixteen Stone.
Ahead of the fun, the bands’ Gavin Rossdale and Ed Kowalczyk interviewed each other on fatherhood, playing their biggest hits and more. “It’s hard to write heavy rock songs about my kids,” Kowalczyk joked about fatherhood, befor sweetly adding, “You get a grounding to family, I think maybe more confident.”
While acknowledging some “rough” patches in the past upon reuniting with +LIVE+, Kowalczyk noted that the experience “was amazing. We felt like kids again. We started playing right away and playing right away. I think there’s an extra level of gratitude now.”
The duo then switched seats and Rossdale took the hot seat. “I don’t follow that thing of where playing hits is beneath you,” he explained. “Those songs gave us life and because I love playing that songs and the joy they bring is immeasurable.”
