Veteran promotion man Tim Burruss joins 1720 Entertainment as VP of promotion/Nashville. Burruss replaces Bill Macky, who exited the company.
Burruss spent six years as the regional promotion director with Columbia Records and later became VP of promotion with Interscope Records and Hollywood Records. Most recently, Burruss was VP of promotion and marketing for Capitol Records, based in Los Angeles.
“Tim is an accomplished, proven executive that has delivered results his entire career,” 1720 president and CEO Terry Johnson said in a prepared statement. “Tim’s experience, energy and enthusiasm are a rare combination, which will make him a tremendous asset for 1720 Entertainment.”
1720 Entertainment’s country music roster includes Jamie O’Neal and Rissi Palmer.
