Nashville-based talent agency Buddy Lee Attractions (BLA) has named Kevin Neal president. The appointment comes several days after the firm’s co-owner/CEO Tony Conway announced his departure after 33 years.
Neal previously served as senior VP and has worked at BLA for 20 years. He is the responsible agent for Jason Aldean, Colt Ford and Ash Bowers, among others. Neal can be reached at 615-244-4336 or kneal@blanash.com.
“I am honored to be asked to help direct this company, and I feel that there is a great opportunity for growth,” Neal said in a statement. “I have had the honor to work with numerous great artists through the years at BLA, and I have watched many of those acts become some of the biggest headliners of our time. Now, Jason Aldean is positioned as the next arena headliner at BLA, and I know that we have other artists that can develop to that level.”
Additional staff and roster changes at BLA are forthcoming, according to a news release from the company. “The changes we’re about to undergo as a company will be made to benefit our client roster,” Neal said. “In addition, we will be announcing some strategic alliances that will enable our roster to further profit in years to come.”
Conway departed BLA on Nov. 13 and will announce his plans in the near future.
“It has been an extraordinary experience, and I have worked with the most amazing group of artists and staff for over three decades,” Conway said in a statement. “I want to thank the late Buddy Lee for mentoring me in the business and the Lee family for allowing me to be a part of country music history. I feel I have completed my mission at BLA and leave it in very capable hands. I am now excited about the next chapter in my own business ventures and the opportunity to apply my experience to new projects.”
