BTS, the septet under Big Hit Entertainment, capped off 2015 with major chart success — and they continue to dominate this year.
Just three years into their careers, the boys were able to enrapture K-pop fans all across the globe with their latest release, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2, which celebrates its 16th week on Billboard‘s World Albums chart this week — a new record for a K-pop act.
The album, which was released on Nov. 30, debuted at No. 1 on World Albums, and sat atop the chart for three additional weeks, making them the first K-pop act to spend multiple weeks atop that chart. Not only that, Pt. 2 entered at No. 171 on the Billboard 200, joining an elite group of Korean acts to bow on the ranking.
With lots to celebrate, BTS — made up of Rap Monster, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — sat down for an exclusive interview with Billboard to discuss their chart accomplishments, the most memorable moment during their three-year career, what they hope to achieve in the near future, and their plans for rest of 2016.
