BTS won over music lovers worldwide this year, with Map of the Soul: 7 coming in as the No. 1 pick in our favorite albums of 2020 poll.
Fans voted in a poll published earlier this month on Billboard, choosing the K-pop boy band’s fourth Korean-language and seventh overall album as their all-time favorite project to be released this year with 30.66% of the vote. The group’s platinum-certified album launched their highest-charting solo Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit at the time with “On” peaking at No. 4 on the all-genre tally back in March.
Coming in close second was Folklore, Taylor Swift‘s first surprise set of 2020, with 29.28% of the vote. (Her eighth studio album also came in as Billboard staffers’ No. 1 album of 2020 and eventually became the first album to sell a million copies in the U.S. this year.)
Dua Lipa‘s Future Nostalgia rounds out fans’ top three picks by coming in third place with 6.49% of the vote. Her sophomore set is up for the prestigious album of the year nod at the 2021 Grammys, as well as for best pop vocal album.
