Fresh off of making history with Love Yourself: Her, K-pop boy band BTS announced earlier this week that they’ll release a new Japanese single album.
On Saturday (Oct. 14), the boy band’s official Japanese Twitter account confirmed that BTS’ eighth Japanese single album will be released on Dec. 6. Along with translated versions of several Her tracks, including “DNA” and “MIC Drop,” the album will also feature an original Japanese track, “Crystal Snow.”
The news of the upcoming Japanese release was revealed to fans at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka during the band’s 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour in Japan — Special Edition reports the Korea Herald.
Along with the upcoming album and new song, BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment revealed on Monday (Oct. 16) that a blimp featuring band member Jimin was launched to mark the start of a yet-to-be-defined project from the band.
“Crystal Snow” will be the first new music from the group since BTS made history last month when Love Yourself: Her became the first Korean album to hit the top 10 of the Billboard 200, where it peaked at No. 7. The album’s lead single also saw major success and hit No. 67 on the Hot 100, landing the septet their first song on the chart.
