BTS is breaking world record after world record this week, and their most recent Guinness feat follows their big wins at Nickelodeon’s 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards.
On Saturday, BTS took home three awards at the show: favorite music group, favorite global music star and favorite song for their Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Dynamite.” Guinness World Records announced Friday (March 19) that BTS had made history once again by achieving the most Kids’ Choice Awards won by a music group, with their total now up to five. Before their fruitful 2021, the K-pop boy band won favorite global music star in 2018 and favorite music group in 2020.

The virtual 2021 KCAs broke a record of its own for most people slimed simultaneously online, with 195 people getting slathered with green goo (albeit from their own homes) at the direction of host Kenan Thompson.
Guinness World Records announced earlier this week, on Tuesday, that the septet had achieved the “most simultaneous viewers for a music video on YouTube Premieres” after 3 million viewers tuned into their colorful “Dynamite” visual.
“Dynamite” itself has previously broken three other Guinness World Records since its release on Aug. 21, including most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group, most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours and most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours.
