BTS are hot right now. The K-pop boy band is set for a takeover of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic with their new EP, Map of the Soul: Persona. And they gave the new release a serious push in the early hours of Wednesday with an interview aired on Beats 1.
During their chat with host Brooke Reese, the South Korean septet broke down the tracks on Map of the Soul: Persona and confirmed there’s more music on the way.
When asked if Persona was the start of another series, like the Love Yourself set, the boys admitted, yes. But they don’t know how many records will roll out.
Persona features a collaboration with Halsey (“Boy With Luv”) and the boys admitted they’re keen to work with another leading lady, specifically Billie Eilish. Jungkook sang the praises of the “Bad Guy” singer while Jimin and Suga added Troye Sivan and Drake to their wish-list of collaborators.
Map of the Soul: Persona is on track to take the crown on the Billboard 200 and the Official U.K. Albums Chart, according to forecasts. BTS has topped the U.S. chart on two occasions, the first act in the genre to do so, and their Persona track “Boy With Luv” last week became the most-viewed 24-hour debut in YouTube history.
