BTS and Halsey are set to take the stage at the Billboard Music Awards tomorrow night (May 1), where they’ll perform their hit single “Boy With Luv” together live for the first time.
This marks the second year in a row BTS will be performing at the BBMAs, but it’s far from the first time the act’s making an appearance on Stateside television. Over the past few years, the South Korean septet has made numerous appearances.
Here are some of the best to re-watch ahead of tomorrow’s BBMAs, airing live on NBC at 8:00 p.m. EST.
“DNA” at the American Music Awards – November 17, 2017
The first time a K-pop group ever appeared at a major U.S. award show, BTS blew the audience away what they had to offer with their dynamic performance of Love Yourself: Her single “DNA.”
“Mic Drop” On Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest – December 31, 2017
BTS ended their breakout year with their appearance on the annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve event, where they performed several tracks and rang in the New Year with an energetic rendition “Mic Drop.” The song had originally been released on Her as a B-side and then put out in a remixed version with Steve Aoki featuring Desiigner, and would go on to become the act’s first Platinum single in the U.S in 2018.
“Fake Love” at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards – May 20, 2018
BTS served up the first worldwide live performance of their Love Yourself: Tear single “Fake Love” at last year’s BBMAs, and got the entire crowd roaring with applause and acclaim for their impressive vocal delivery and the sleek choreography. The song fronted their first of three No. 1 albums released over a 12-month period that landed the act atop the Billboard 200.
“I’m Fine” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon – September 25, 2018
Though the focus is usually on their singles, BTS has had the opportunity to share several B-sides with U.S. audiences and The Tonight Show appearance saw them deliver this impactful performance of the optimistic “I’m Fine” from their Love Yourself: Answer, their second No. 1 album.
“IDOL” on Good Morning America – September 26, 2018
BTS made their morning show debut as the first-ever Korean group to appear on GMA, where they blew away those in the studio and beyond with their rousing rendition of self-love anthem “IDOL,” also from Answer.

“Boy With Luv” on Saturday Night Live – March 13, 2019
BTS shared the first live performance of their most recent single “Boy With Luv,” released on the group’s third chart-topping album Map of the Soul: Persona in April, with the world during their appearance last month on SNL. They showcased the track’s full-choreography for the first time in their exuberant rendition of he song, and blessed the world with some amazing ad libs.
They’ll perform the single again live tomorrow night with Halsey at the BBMAs, which will air at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
