BTS announced on Monday (April 26) that they are prepping the release of their second English-language single, “Butter.”
The song, described in a press release as “a dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS,” is slated to drop at midnight ET on May 21.
“Butter” is the follow-up to the K-pop septet’s 2020 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Dynamite.”
BTS have been on a roll this year, landing a brand ambassador gig for Louis Vuitton, as well as popping up in a Samsung Mother’s Day commercial and launching a promotional meal deal with McDonald’s.
After nearly 1 million people across the globe watched BTS‘ virtual Map of the Soul ON:E concert in October 2020, as they prep fresh tunes, the K-pop supergroup is ready to flip back through those memories in a new photobook.
Last week, they shared solo cuts from their Map of the Soul ON:E concept photobook and a 49-second video of the seven sparkling members coming together as one under a shower of confetti while the “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal” lyric “yeah we are not seven, with you” plays as the closer.
