Kelley Shanley has been named president and CEO of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He replaces Mark Nerenhausen, who announced in December that he would be leaving for a similar post at the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts.
Shanley served as executive VP/GM of the center since 1999 and was praised by M. Austin Forman, board chair of the Performing Arts Center Authority, for his “thorough understand of the unique demographic and cultural environment of South Florida.”
The Broward Center presents over 650 performances a year and has an annual attendance of over 700,000.
