Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari are hoping to be proud parents one day, and recently got some practice in with a baby doll.
The pop star posed with the toy in a video from Asghari’s Instagram Story Monday (Sept. 27), with the faux mother-daughter duo bopping their heads from side to side in matching baby pink outfits.
“Exclusive! We had a baby,” he captioned the first video with crying-laughing emojis. “What should we name her?”
Asghari later shared another clip of the couple praising their pretend child for her dance moves and where she got them from. “She’s talented, got that choreography down,” he said before Spears jokingly chimed in with, “She’s a natural like her mama.”
Spears is no stranger to creating her own choreo and sharing it with the world via her Instagram, which she temporarily deactivated to privately celebrate her engagement with Asghari. Although the two don’t have any actual kids of their own together, the 39-year-old singer has two sons — Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15 — with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
In her harrowing court testimony from June 23, Spears told Judge Brenda Penny that her chances of having another baby were being hindered by the conservatorship, which has been closely examined in two recent documentaries, FX and Hulu’s Controlling Britney Spears and Netflix’s Britney vs Spears.
“I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby, I have a IUD inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant,” Spears said during her emotional testimony. “I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have anymore children. So basically, this conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good.”
Another hearing in the Spears conservatorship case is scheduled for Wednesday (Sept. 29).
