Britney Spears‘ latest prerogotive? Making sure Kate Middleton receives her entire lingerie line.
The singer is in London promoting her Intimate Britney Spears collection, and when asked about her dream consumer, Spears went with the same woman that nearly every designer envisions.
“I would love to see Kate wear my underwear designs — that would be splendid!” Spears, 32, told reporters at the presentation, per People. “I’m going to send her one of every piece, so she’ll have plenty to choose from.”
This story is, of course, ridiculous, and even if the Duchess of Cambridge wore any of the pieces, it’s not like the public would ever know. That said, perhaps we’re living in a world where Kate would be excited about the shout out from the pop star: She may be fancy royalty now, but she wasn’t always; Middleton is the right age to have been really into Britney Spears in high school, singing “Oops” into a hairbrush and all.
Maybe Middleton will receive the gift, and decide to give Spears a call to come to the palace. The two could discuss Spears’ recent breakup, her Vegas show, and Spears could even give the Duchess tips about raising two kids. Prince William could even awkwardly stop by to see what the two are up to (Never forget: He did say Spears was his dream girl, once upon a time).
