Beauty products company Elizabeth Arden has signed a global licensing deal with pop star Britney Spears, with a plan to develop and market a Spears-branded line of fragrance, skincare and color cosmetics.
The first product to be marketed under the deal will be a perfume, due in department stores this fall.
Spears’ latest Jive album “In the Zone” debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.8 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The artist is currently performing on her Onyx Hotel tour, which will encompass 75 dates through late summer in the United States, Europe and Asia.
