After releasing his debut EP Award via Fool’s Gold in January and dropping the insanely infectious collab with Jersey Club Queen UNiiQU3 “Hula Hoop” in July, DJ/producer and Chicago native BRENMAR — real name Bill Salas — is setting his sights on the fashion world. Billboard caught up with Salas ahead of his NYFW sets this week, which includes the VFILES After Party (alongside A-Trak and Speakerfoxxx on Sept. 9) as well as the Pyer Moss and Refinery29 fetes (Sept. 10).
“NYFW can be a really stressful time for everyone involved behind the scenes so my job is to come in and make sure people have fun and release all that pent up stress & energy,” Salas tells Billboard. “You want all that hard work to really amount to something and hip-hop is all about being bigger than yourself and your surroundings, so what better way to celebrate your show by balling out afterwards?”

Snootie Wild, “Fashion”
“Because it’s called “Fashion,” Snootie really makes it a lifestyle.”
The Weeknd, “Can’t Feel My Face”
“The Weeknd went pop this year and I love it! This one is sure to get people singing along and feeling good on the dance floor.”
Chedda Da Connect, “Designer Fetish”
“Chedda keeps that lettuce and lives his life lavishly. Fashion week would appreciate his fetish.”
Fetty Wap, “679”
“I could choose almost any Fetty Wap song right now but this is probably my favorite. Once that chorus hits…..pure bliss.”
“Stop Lying” Meme
“This is probably my favorite meme of the year so far. I made a little edit of this I’ll be playing out just for LOLs.”
Travi$ Scott, “Maria I’m Drunk” (feat. Justin Bieber & Young Thug)
“Amazing song off of Rodeo that is sure to be a NYFW banger.”
