South by Southwest Conference and Festivals announced on Tuesday (Jan. 15) new keynote and additional featured speakers, including Endeavor Chief Marketing Officer Bozoma Saint John, Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger and actress/director Olivia Wilde.
Among the newly announced featured speakers are A$AP Rocky (speaking on design with Daimler AG Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener), David Crosby in conversation with Cameron Crowe, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Chance the Rapper‘s manager Pat Corcoran, Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA, Lola Media Group CEO and member of French Montana‘s management team Lola Plaku, producer and founder of creative production agency Happy Place, Inc. Tara Razavi and more.
In Krieger’s keynote, he will join his Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom in a conversation with TechCrunch Editor-at-Large Josh Constine.
“Each of the Keynote speakers announced today reflect bold and innovative talent transforming their respective industries,” said Hugh Forrest, SXSW’s chief programming officer. “The breadth and diversity of the Featured Speakers make the 2019 event an even stronger and more compelling place for creatives, innovators and storytellers alike.”
Added Janet Pierson, SXSW’s director of film: “We’ve been fortunate to have Olivia Wilde at SXSW numerous times as an actress and producer, and we’re always impressed by her talent and her intelligence. We could not be more excited to have her here as a Film Keynote on the eve of her outstanding directorial debut, Booksmart.”
Conference programming is organized into 25 tracks divided between interactive, film, music and convergence, presented in a variety of session formats. SXSW is offering expanded access to events for all registrants: Attendees will receive primary access to programming associated with their badge type, but will also be granted secondary entry to most other events.
SXSW will take place from March 8-17 this year.
