David Bowie has added 29 North American dates to his A Reality tour.
After the current leg of U.S./Canadian dates ends Saturday in Los Angeles, Bowie will head to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong before returning to the States. The new run will begin March 29 in Philadelphia and will conclude with New York-area shows June 4 and 5.
Immediately following the new North American leg, Bowie will revisit Europe and the U.K., where the worldwide tour launched last October, for select festival dates, including a headlining appearance June 13 at Britain’s Isle of Wight Festival. The tour will wrap for good in mid-July in Europe.
Through Jan. 21, Bowie had grossed $24.2 million and sold 421,600 tickets, according to Billboard Boxscores.
The tour is produced worldwide by Clear Channel Entertainment under the direction of Arthur Fogel, president of the touring division.
The Polyphonic Spree will support the first half of the new North American dates (March 29-April 30), while Stereophonics will open shows from May 6-27. A special guest will be announced for the May 29-June 5 shows
