Yesterday, Bobby Brown made his first public appearance since the hospitalization of his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and was visibly emotional during it.
“I must tell y’all … this feels really, really, really good,” Brown told a crowd at the Soul Food Festival in downtown Los Angeles, according to ET. “I want to think all y’all for coming out tonight and supporting me and my family.”

Brown, 46, has been a fixture at Bobbi Kristina’s bedside since she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home in late January, and was hospitalized at nearby Emory University. Weeks later, she was moved to a rehabilitation center, where she remains in an unconscious state. She is the only daughter of Brown and Whitney Houston.
Brown acknowledged his family’s turmoil during his speech to the Soul Food audience as they cheered their support. “Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times,” he said. “I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now but I’m giving it to God and lettin’ him deal with it.”
Brown, who has several concert appearances in Australia booked for next month, closed his remarks on a lighter note. “There’s only one thing I ask of y’all tonight: just enjoy yourselves tonight,” he said.
