While Bobbi Kristina remains in an Atlanta hospital, two members of her family got into a brawl at an Atlanta hotel’s bar area on Friday morning.
Atlanta police confirmed to Billboard they responded to a fight call at the W Atlanta Midtown Hotel. “Fight call was involving the family members of Pop Star Bobby Brown. One victim Shayne Brown was struck in the head with a bottle by suspect Tina Brown,” Officer Kim Jones said via email. Shayne Brown is Bobby Brown‘s nephew; Tina Brown is Bobby Brown’s sister.

“Mr. [Shayne] Brown stated that he was attending a party for Bobby Brown’s birthday,” the officer dispatched to the scene said in a statement. Bobby Brown’s birthday was Feb. 5. “Mr. [Shayne] Brown stated that was in an altercation with his mother about a valet parking ticket. Mr. Brown stated that while arguing with his mother, she spit in his face and hit him on his head with a glass bottle.”

Additionally, a witness to the incident informed the Atlanta police he saw Shayne Brown “swinging on Tina Brown (his mother) as a result of the altercation.”
According to Officer Jones, “Mr. Shayne Brown chose to drive himself to the hospital. Mrs. Tina Brown left the scene before police arrived. The motive of the fight is unclear at this time. Mr. Shayne Brown received lacerations to his head. “
Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston‘s 21-year-old daughter, is currently staying at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital after being found facedown in a bathtub over the weekend by Nick Gordon. While Bobbi Kristina had been calling Gordon her husband on social media, her father’s lawyers confirmed they are not legally married.
