Appearing on a highly promoted exclusive episode of Dr. Phil that aired Wednesday, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon was in a horrible state.

Admitting to drinking and using Xanax, Gordon said he has not been sleeping since his girlfriend was admitted to an Atlanta hospital in critical condition after being found face-down in a bathtub on Jan. 31.

Gordon grew up with Brown, as the adopted child to her mother the late Whitney Houston. At one point in the program, Gordon’s mother Michelle claims Houston brought Brown and Gordon to rehab with her three times because she “wanted to keep them all together as a family.”

When Dr. Phil McGraw asked Gordon how he feels early on, the response set a tone for the rest that followed. “I feel like… I miss Krissy and Whitney,” he said, nearly in tears. “Please don’t put this on TV…me crying, me being weak.”
“Oh, you’re not weak, you’re just caring about somebody who means something to you,” McGraw responded.
Then, upon seeing his mother, Gordon tells her desperately, “Mom, I would never hurt anybody. I love people. I love babies. Everything!”

According to McGraw, Gordon entered a rehab facility immediately after the taping last week.
