<a href=”/music/bob-dylan”>Bob Dylan</a> will return to Asia this summer for <a href=”/articles/news/festivals/8248039/bob-dylan-added-fuji-rock-festival-japan-lineup”>Fuji Rock Festival</a>, 40 years since his first tour of Japan. The festival, held at Naeba Ski Resort, marks his historic 101st performance in Japan. See the full lineup below.
After Japan, he will go to Hong Kong and Singapore to continue his Asia tour. Meanwhile, he will perform in Hong Kong for the first time since being awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature and it will be produced by AEG Presents.
Dylan’s eight previous studio albums have been universally hailed as among the best of his storied career, achieving new levels of commercial success and critical acclaim for the artist. The Platinum-selling Time Out of Mind from 1997 earned multiple Grammy Awards, including album of the year, while Love and Theft continued Dylan’s Platinum streak and earned several Grammy nominations and a statue for best contemporary folk album.
In December 2016, the artist was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature by the Swedish Academy “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” He was a 2012 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States’ highest civilian honor, and was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for “his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power.”

The French producer The Avener has become renowned for his unique and sultry electronic productions, which bring in elements of blues, jazz, folk and funk. The original version of “Masters of War” was written by Dylan over the winter of 1962-63, and was featured on his album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.
