BMG Music Publishing Worldwide promoted Peter Brodsky to senior VP, legal & business affairs. He continues to be based in New York reporting to chairman/CEO Nicholas Firth.
Brodsky will continue to oversee all legal and business issues associated with the publisher and its affiliated U.S. companies, BMG Songs and Zomba Music Publishing.
Brodsky joined BMG in 1997 as associate director, legal and business affairs. He was most recently VP of the department. Prior to joining BMG, Brodsky was an associate at the law firm of White & Case in New York. He received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
“Peter has been instrumental in completing major deals for the company, including the development of groundbreaking new digital and mobile licensing agreements,” said Firth. “He has also played a key role in industry negotiations. I congratulate him on his well-deserved promotion.”
