BMG Music Publishing International has signed a four-year sub-publishing deal for U.K.-based New Zealand songwriter/producer Pam Sheyne’s AppleTreeSongs and PlumTreeTunes catalogs.
The deal includes all of Sheyne’s major U.S. hits such as “Genie In A Bottle” (performed by Christina Aguilera), “Irresistible” (performed by Jessica Simpson) “Miracles Happen” (performed by Myra) and two Disney end titles and a number of U.S. gold and platinum album cuts.
Says BMG Publishing International president Andrew Jenkins, “Pam’s fantastic songs and (her manager Nigel Rush’s) creative and promotional skills allied with BMG’s marketing expertise should make this a very successful relationship.”
Sheyne has recently worked with Jive-signed Australian singer Samantha Jade, and with labelmate Nick Lachey for his forthcoming album to be released next year. In the United Kingdom, she has written with Gary Clark and worked with both Emma Bunton and Gareth Gates.
