Jeff Blue has been named senior VP of A&R for RCA Music Group. He joins from Interscope Records, where he held the same post, signing and producing new punk group Social Code, among others.
Blue is based in Los Angeles and reports directly to Clive Davis, chairman/CEO of BMG North America. He will be responsible for signing and developing artists for both J Records and RCA Records.
Prior to Interscope, Blue held executive A&R posts at Warner Bros. Records and Zomba Publishing. He signed and developed Linkin Park and also worked with Macy Gray, Korn and Limp Bizkit.
“I’m very excited to be working in an environment in which we will dedicate ourselves to artist development and long-term careers,” Blue says in a statement.
