Blackpink and Selena Gomez finally dropped their highly-anticipated collaboration “Ice Cream” on Friday (Aug. 28), and it’s safe to say celebs are eating the summery single up on social media.
“I LOVE ICE CREAM @BLACKPINK @SELENAGOMEZ,” proclaimed Ricky Dillon upon hearing the track, while beauty influencer James Charles excitedly tweeted, “ICE CREAM IS SOOO CATCHY ALL THE GIRLS ARE SERVING.”

Others took to Twitter to share the catchiest lyrics from the song (“Ice cream chillin chillin ice cream chillin,” wrote Nikita Dragun), while Venezuelan YouTuber La Divasa only had eyes for Gomez in the candy-colored music video — sharing a screenshot from the clip with the caption, “Mami LA DISTE @selenagomez.”
Meanwhile, Ariana Grande, who’s credited as a songwriter on the track alongside frequent collaborators Victoria Monét and TB Hits, expressed her excitement with a series of exclamation points in an Instagram comment about the release. (For his part, the latter producer — real name Tommy Brown — admitted, “Honestly we might have killed this #IceCream Beat” on Twitter.
Several other famous faces and influencers, including Bebe Rexha, Zedd and Loren Gray, received the tasty promo package for the single in the mail. “Here’s something sweet from us to celebrate our new single, xo BLACKPINK & Selena Gomez” reads the note accompanying the box full of Serendipity ice cream, gummy bears, sprinkles and other candy.
“Ice Cream” serves as the official second single from Blackpink’s long-awaited debut full-length studio set, “Blackpink: The Album,” which is expected to be released Oc. 2 via YG Entertainment/Capitol Records.
