The #MC30 celebration finally has the full soundtrack after Mariah Carey dropped The Rarities, a b-sides collection that reflects her successful run over the last three decades and captures all of her vocal runs in songs like “Save The Day,” featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill by way of sampling the Fugees’ “Killing Me Softly.”
Bryson Tiller has his own Anniversary to celebrate: After releasing the deluxe version of his Trapsoul debut LP last Friday (Sept. 25) on its fifth anniversary, he released his third album. The R&B crooner finding inspiration from “digging through the Trapsoul archives” during a recent trip to L.A. “I found some really dope ideas that I started five years ago,” he said during his Zoom listening party on Wednesday (Sept. 30). “And I want to present it to you guys like this. Happy anniversary.” The 10-song project finally takes his collaboration with Drake titled “Outta Time” out of the vault.
Another MC — Miley Cyrus — released her cover of Blondie‘s 1979 No. 1 hit “Heart of Glass” on streaming services after rocking out to it during her iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020 performance earlier this month.
