After announcing they’ve signed with ATO Records, Black Pumas released their soulful R&B single “Fire,” premiering on Billboard today (March 6).
The groovy track, with an enticing guitar riff and punchy horns reminiscent of great Motown hits, was the first song Adrian Quesada and Eric Burton penned for Black Pumas. “I’ve got a song on my heart/ She keeps me grooving, sturdy grooving,” Burton sings at the top of the mid-tempo tune.
The duo recently won best new band at this year’s Austin Music Awards and will be taking to SXSW stages starting on March 10.
