Black Keys Reveal Blakroc Hip-Hop Project Details
The first “Blakroc” installment, released in Nov. 2009 via V2, featured the likes of Ludacris, Mos Def, and RZA and Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan. The project was first brought together by Roc-a-Fella co-founder Damon Dash, an unexpected fan of the “Howlin’ For You” rockers, and peaked at No. 110 on the Billboard 200.
“Blakroc 2” will likely arrive around the same as the Black Keys’ still-untitled seventh studio album, which is awaiting a late 2011 release.
