Although this collaboration could produce some of the darkest, most introverted music we’ve heard from either artist, this still sounds like a match made in heaven.
Bjork’s so-far-untitled 2015 album will feature production from U.K. producer Bobby Krlic, a.k.a. the Haxan Cloak. The macabre electronic artist announced the collaboration today (Jan. 6) via Twitter:
I can now share, with equal parts humility and excitement, the last few months I’ve been working with @bjork on her new record. An honour.

The Haxan Cloak made waves in electronic and ambient music circles for 2013’s sophomore effort Excavation, which sounds like the instrumental electronic soundtrack to the excavation of an ancient burial ground on Mars. So it’s safe to say that Bjork’s follow-up to 2011’s Biophilia is shaping up to be a very dark, brooding affair. It’s expected to drop some time later this year.

And in addition to all that eerie experimentation, Arca — who gained notoriety for working on some of Kanye West’s Yeezus — is also co-producing the new Bjork album.
