Björk will be premiering a new concert titled Cornucopia in spring 2019 with the opening of arts center The Shed, part of the extensive Hudson Yards development project at the High Line in New York City.
“This winter I will prepare my most elaborate stage concert yet, where the acoustic and digital will shake hands, encouraged by a bespoke team of collaborators,” Björk said in an Instagram post announcing the project.
In the accompanying image, Björk is shown wearing a dress with a large orchid covering the torso area while playing a flute with flowers coming out of one end, hinting at the naturalistic elements of Cornucopia.
Fashion designer Iris Van Herpen has been tapped for costumes, while Harry Potter and the Cursed Child director John Tiffany will direct the show.
