
Billy Joel will be the one to say farewell to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum when the Long Island arena hosts its final show before undergoing renovation on Aug. 4.
Joel, a Long Island native, last played the venue in 1998, when he sold out nine shows at the arena; he has played 31 total shows at the venue. Following the August performance, the Coliseum is scheduled to reopen as a sports and entertainment arena in December 2016.

Tickets for the performance go on sale next Friday (May 1) at 10:00 am ET through Ticketmaster.
Joel is touring the United States throughout 2015, with his next show scheduled for May 1 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. The pop legend is also slated to headline the final night of Bonnaroo on June 14.
