Tuesday (Sept. 25) marks National Voter Registration Day, and celebrities and politicians alike are taking to social media to encourage Americans to sign up to vote ahead of the November elections.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti took to Facebook to encourage registration with Billie Eilish. He noted that every LAUSD High School is organizing a campus voter registration drive, and each participating school has the opportunity to win a live performance by Eilish. The songstress added that she pre-registered while getting her learner’s permit at the DMV.
“As young people we have to own and use our power to make a difference. When we go into the voting booth, it’s about deciding who will lead America into the future,” the young star explained.
