During quarantine, “Work From Home” went from being a Fifth Harmony bop to an entire lifestyle, Coachella became #Couchella, and messy bedrooms came to the forefront of work meetings.
Billboard created three zesty Zoom backgrounds for everyone’s enjoyment, featuring music-inspired headlines, from “Mic Drop: Your Audio Keeps Cutting Out” to “2020: The Year We All Became TikTok Stars” to “I Want to Hold Your Hand (But I Can’t).” From business meetings to blind dates, readers’ Zoom sessions are bound to be off the charts.
If you’re using Zoom on your computer, you can cue up Billboard‘s custom backgrounds before joining a Zoom conference call. Just save one or all three images onto your desktop, log into the Zoom web portal, click “Settings” then “In Meeting (Advanced),” scroll down to “Virtual Background” and click the slider to the right to enable. Click the plus (+) icon next to “Choose Virtual Background” then select “Add Image” and upload the custom Billboard image(s) from your computer desktop before getting the party started. Even if the meeting began before you could show off Billboard‘s punny posters, you still have time to spice things up. While in a meeting, click the arrow next to “Start/Stop Video,” choose “Virtual Background” and select “Video Settings,” then click “Virtual Background” and “Upload Custom Image.”
If you’re using Zoom on your phones, you can only change the backgrounds during a meeting, but you can set up a meeting to arrange the environment beforehand. Save one or all three images into your photos app, go to your Zoom app and tap the “Meet & Chat” tab and select “New Meeting,” leave the “Video On” toggle enabled and tap “Start a Meeting.” While in a meeting, tap “More” at the bottom and then choose “Virtual Background.” Tap the plus (+) icon to open up your photos app, select the custom Billboard image(s) and tap “Done.” Voila!
